putting words in my mouth, of course they are on there, but they, just like you, are using it for it's sex purposes, most of the girls i know in real life, anecdotal, of course, hookup with tinder etc, but largely accept that's what it's for and don't end up in long term relationships with those guys.

does it happen sure, but lets not pretend its commonplace for these swipe right apps to lead to love, eharmony maybe, but the entirety of that platform is different than putting catchy lines in your bio and showing your entire personality 'at a glance'

I'd guess it's the for the following reasons:

1) It's bad for your self-image. You are in an environment heavily skewed towards women where girls at your attractiveness level will have a ton of options from guys that likely are more attractive than you.

2) It's bad for your view towards women. I think the dating apps are more for hookup culture which means she will put a huge emphasis on more superficial things. If this is your interaction with women, it's easy to become jaded (see 95% of the misc). You likely trying to turn a ho into a housewife.

3. If you do end up in a relationship, there is a lot less of a focus to make it work because she knows she can replace you pretty easily. There is also more of a temptation to cheat because she knows she can get more attractive men easily.

I don't think people saying don't meet girls on dating apps are saying that because those girls are low quality. Probably almost every high quality girl goes on dating apps, they don't stay on them long though because they probably hook up with 1-2 guys, then meet a quality guy and go LTR and go off the grid for 2+ years then rinse/repeat. They are on there max of 1 month. Meanwhile the nasty dirty 3-5s/10 are on there continually and that's what you are lucky to be able to pick from if you're a 6-7.

In real life though if you're a 6-7 (assuming most are here because we are on a bodybuilding site so at very least workout and have decent bods) and you are actually willing to approach women (most men don't anymore) you can have a sea of women 7-9s/10.

I'd rather have 7-9s in real life than 3-5s on dating apps. That's the reality for a slightly above average guy. Just most of them are unwilling/unable to approach girls in real life.
