I sold cars for Nissan. Got laid off because I got complacent and had a bad month. Politics too.

For the first few months of unemployment I had $2k left over each month after paying my mortgage and $500 car payment. I got what I would make in an average month which was $3,900 cash or $5k+ before taxes.

Still on it 11 months later. I'd ride this unemployment train until the wheels fall off (August), but the wife would leave me. Over the past 11 months I've been paying off my new car early and got a new sectional and marble table for a few thousand. Drink two bottles of Turkey 101 a week or whatever the **** I please. Finally bought a ps4 along with a few games. Tons of other **** and I'm still able to save hundreds after paying the full mortgage and car payment. Paying off debt too.

It's life on easy mode lol. The people that went back to work are the ones with no social life or kids to enjoy. I use to work 12 hours a day 3 weeks outta the month at times. I'd leave for work and mija and would be asleep and come home from work and mija is still asleep. Car deals that last until midnight and all that ****. I've been enjoying my time with family, but it's important to be productive. I can drink half a bottle in a day and 2 bottles in a week. My tolerance for whiskey is through the roof.

I think people have an easier time conceptualizing people like the guy in the OP, because in all likelihood they know someone like that irl, and it makes them angry, whereas how many people actually know someone like Warren Buffet who doesn't pay any taxes despite being one of the wealthiest people in the world? Most people can't even wrap their minds around that sort of wealth, they just see it through the lens of hard work and success.
