I know it's easier said than done, but just relax mate you will be fine. Thousands of planes are in the air everyday in the world, and you never hear about any crashes everyday do you?

Lol no the TSA will not steal your laptop, but they might inspect your checked in bag/bags though, and if they do they have to leave a tag that they inspected it anyway.

Also, enjoy the people watching. I love traveling, and one of my favorite things to do at the airport is people watch when I'm at my gate or at the bar it's like people are in their own world just walking around aimlessly.

Kind of jealous as I love flying. Get wasted on the way in since you don't have to drive

don't black out during a long layover, get in a yelling match in line to get on the flight, not be allowed to board the plane, then have to find lodging in chicago for the night and not be refunded for your original flight

How can anyone love flying. I fly about 5 times a year, I’m always cramped and uncomfortable. Although if I bought first class I’m sure I’d like it more.

Only ever flew economy until I moved to Japan with my company and they booked me a business class flight. The difference was so amazing that ever since then I've spent/wasted thousands on booking business class flights. Not worth it for short haul but for long haul there's no way I'm flying economy with all the plebs.

Lmao I boarded a plane after drinking a fifth of vodka while I was underage. The airport attendant lady escorted me off the plane and called my friend to pick me up and made sure I got a new flight a couple days later at no extra cost, she was awesome. Could’ve gotten in trouble for that one.

I got used to travelling alone because of work, flew about 14 times in 2020
airports are pretty straight forward but I always check in a couple hours early and hang out at the airport in case anything happens -- traffic, busy airport ques, etc

also like just having all my baggage checked in and just chillin.

Because it feels like a rollercoaster and I really admire the power. I also just associate it with getting exceedingly sedated and drunk as hell which is always nice.

As a 5'8" no fraud manlet, being cramped is never an issue

Lmao I'm NOT going to Thailand, it's a domestic flight within the US.

Too many replies to quote directly, but thanks for the tips everyone. I'm in the waiting area about to board my first flight to DFW. It wasn't as scary as I thought and the staff were pretty cool.

Those of you telling me about Tinder and hollering at sloots are overestimating my ability/attractiveness. Just gonna vibe out, have fun, and maybe talk to some girls if I get some IOI's. This trip is more for me and meeting a good friend I made here on on misc. I'll worry about women when I get my career and other life **** on track.
