There's things physiologicists still don't understand about the brain. I don't think puberty should be the sole determining factor in whether 21-24 year olds can drink, vote, shoot, etc. At some point in life it's time to put on your big boy pants and somewhere down the line people chose 18.

Incorrect. Most kids don’t become adults until they leave college and enter the workforce. Back then it was 18 with high school. Now it is 21-23 with college. Voting age should also be raised.

Which is where the parental permission things comes in. The teenager is stupid. If the parents have good judgement of character then it is their decision.
