When maxing my ROTH and 401k made me more excited than anything.

Recently it was when I got together with two of my buddies. We met in 2011 after I got out of the Army. We all of a sudden realized we'd known each other a decade.

When all the things I used to wear in high school came back in style and kids call it “vintage” lol.

I turned 41 today.

18 felt old cuz I was officially an adult. 20 felt old cuz I wasn't a teenager anymore. 21 felt old cuz I could drink legally. 24 felt old cuz I was no longer in my early 20s. 25 felt old cuz it's fuking 25 & no longer considered "youth" (generally ends at 24). 26 felt old cuz I was officially over 25. I'm turning 27 in a few weeks and that seems pretty fuking old cuz it's only 3 years from 30 & some of my favorite artists fuking died at that age. I also had 0 childhood due to years of daily abuse and hard work, so I'm pretty much a downer when it comes to age. Still, on the plus side, I'm 0% Norwooding. Heaven help you sad, helpless, Norwooding motherfukers

Yep.

I walked into the locker room at work. We had a hooters swimsuit calendar hanging just inside the door. It was the beginning of a new month. I walked in and saw that months model was a model in a white bikini laying on a beach. She had sand on her like she had been in different poses. I looked at it and my first thought was "that sand is gonna get everywhere".

Two seconds later I literally stopped in my tracks and had that "holy chit, I'm old" realization.

Old is 15 years older than you are. I'm 61 and I'm not old, never will be.

You're silly for feeling that way. Everyone 40 and under can hang out and have things be normal.

In fact, people use that term when describing the nightlife in a certain area. The "40 and under crowd".

You're a fukkin' idiot.

it's strange, I never think about it unconsciously, only when you stop and think about it lol

like when you get yucky with the boys and pull some chit and it's all good, and later you look back at it in a 3rd person perspective and you think how it must look like to see adult men behave like that

I laugh every time thinking about it

hope it makes sense

turn 35 yo next week
