There’s actually several winners in our small area .

Obv it’s not a necessary expense just a luxury expense. Which can be said about pretty much everything people spend on other than basic necessities.
It’s only a waste of money in the same sense that every luxury is arguably a waste. Starbucks instead of coffee at home. Going to the movies. Eating at restaurants. Any model of car that is more than the most basic. A variety of clothing. Traveling. Etc etc

theyre all haggard and nasty looking, checking the previous ten tickets they bought and then compulsively buying another 10. at that point its a full on addiction... they are oblivious to the 8 people waiting in line for them to feed their habit.

It's not the scratch tickets that are the problem, it's the numbers games. The idiot with the stack of Powerball tickets an inch thick wanting the clerk to scan for winners. After making everyone else wait for 10 minutes, then they hand over a stack of those scan cards an inch thick and make everyone wait 10 more minutes while the clerk prints out their tickets for the next drawing.
I'm #12 in Y2J's "club"...and I'm scared.
This week on The Buff and the Beautiful: Colleen comes up with a new scheme to win over Carlos. But first she has to gain the trust of her captor.
