my old redneck self would of loved that boat in op, but these days id get something nicer like cavillacs setup.

Yessir, they are adjustable up and down. I live on the Missouri River so they work good for that but I use them more often when fishing for flathead at night to get back into the holes off the main channel

To the OP I wouldnt spend more that $700/800 on that boat, it's limited by its size not to mention the junk he is throwing along with. The paddle looks like it was chewed, life jackets look old and the cushion looks like it has years of farts and sweat baked into it. All that stuff belongs in the garbage not pawned off to the next buyer

Do it bro, it's only 1.3K if spending that money won't be a burden to you then go for it. I really really miss my boat and had great times cruising the seas in it. Do you live close to the water and do you have acces to a nearby ramp or somewhere to drop it into the water?

That was the most annoying thing when I had mine, I lived in a place that only had 2-3 ramps to access the sea and they were very crowded and expensive, had it in a marina for a while which was more comfortable but uber expensive. So consider that too how easily accessible the water is from your home.

I'd shop around but if you're into fishing, any boat with a gas motor and a foot controlled trolling motor (critical especially for bass fishing) beats fishing from shore. Just depends on budget.

For a boat that small I would go with 9.9hp motor. Check your local lake and pond regulations, many will not allow engines over 10hp so you limit yourself with a larger engine. Also you really don't need a big engine for that small of a boat unless you are hauling two cows from tinder for an island 3some.

A few years ago I sold a boat like in OP with little 6hp motor and 55 lb thrust trolling motor for $1200. I'd keep looking or offer $750.

Wouldn’t buy a used motor cause there’s no telling if they flushed the salt after every use

Seawater + engine = getting stuck in the middle of the ocean

Boating is a pain in the ass so if you do it go all it with accessories that make it either to move it around
