Once interest rates rise, the market will panic. Paper values will fall in line with interest rate raises (say $500K at 3% is the same monthly as $400K at 5%), but when people see a big red -20% on the housing market, a lot of the speculative money will GTFO.

Jerome Powell alone decides when the punch bowl will go away.

JP is part of the money printing mafia, he’s a bought and paid for shill *******

I can’t say for sure what’s going on or what will happen, but it certainly feels like a ****storm is brewing. One thing i see happening with a housing market correction that people are probably losing sight of is a floor adjustment, prices may deflate a bit but the “bottom” has been raised and they won’t hit 09 prices again, if we’re lucky maybe 2015ish, which was still way higher than 08-11

I've been depressed all day about it...

My parents are telling me I should just get a condo now...

If I wanted a condo I could of easily bought one 3 years ago... if I get one now, im just pissing all my efforts on saving up away. Its adding insult to injury in the purest form.

Dont even know why I work at this point. I always wanted a house mainly for a work/space garage. I have a project car I've been holding onto for 7 years... I buy a condo and I have to give that up as well.

Its absolutely killing me inside now. I feel incredibly low. I'm sad asf rn brahs.

If you cant afford it then you cant afford it. Sucks but dont beat yourself up over it. Rent, but be tactical (live at a place you can afford AND save a decent amount of money). You do NOT want to be house poor trust me. Should be an enjoyable purchase, which means having enough money to furnish it, handle repairs, etc. without losing sleep
