Smoking? Bro I dont have 3 hours to cook my food.

Steak seared on the pan, in the oven, done in 8 minutes.

Chicken seared on the pan, in the oven, done in 20 minutes.

Fish in the oven done in 12 minutes.

I can have 3 meals back to back by the time your wood pellets are halfway ready

I mean I've owned both and made the same foods on both. It can be a pain in the ass sometimes but it does produce markedly better BBQ. But you are certainly correct about having to keep fking with the fire lol.

Not enough temp swing to make a difference in the end product because I know how to manage a fire.

P.S. said end product mogs the FUKK out of your ez baked nancy boy "bbq." Run along now and let the grown folks talk BBQ.

Fuking so much this. Imagine your ******* ass pellets having the same flavor profile or effects of actual wood chunks in a legit offset or barrel smoker.

OP smokes dick and judging by his frauding history I have my doubts he even owns a Treager

If you have a PROPER MOGGER smoker that's well designed with thick metal, proper drafting and good sealing you don't have to touch it much but the difference in bark, flavor and taste is markedly different. I've modded mine even more with a deeper draft on the smoke chute to hold more smoke in, thicker seals, and had steel diversion panels welded in to direct the heat more evenly.

Add in a cheap bluetooth temp probe from Amazon and you just phuck with it briefly a few times for a 12 hour brisket.

But yeah if you buy a cheapie and don't mod the fuk out of it you're gonna have a bad time.

Edit- smoking for me is a hobby, I literally enjoy doing it and playing with different rubs and wood blends and spending the day fiddling with it on a day you got nothing else to do, it's relaxing. I'd love to start a BBQ business honestly

Klose Shirley Fab, Lang, Gator, Lonestar or find a local builder. There's a place called Kats here in CA I'd love to have but I don't have the room.

I hnnnggged my pants at the thought of having a trailer pit

When did I say mine was a mogger setup? I have a cheapish pit boss that I've modded with tips from BBQbrethren forum. It works fine.

I was pointing out that good ones are super easy to use and regulate temp well.

I've got a $400 Old Country Pecos with a few tweaks here and there and could smoke circles around the ezbake boys ITT with it. Now that we moved and I have a proper workspace I'm gonna pick up a welding machine when I have time and get to work building my custom mogger pit.

I'm inclined to get a ceramic + a barrel smoker instead of a Pellet, but I am amicable to the idea of getting all of them.

That's kind of my plan at the moment. A few small mods vastly improved it over stock however I don't have room to get the ones I REALLY want. Hopefully within the year I'll be moving somewhere with a larger patio space so I can upgrade.

I've tried pellet grills they dont taste anything alike. Imagine telling an OG Texas pit boss to convert to pellets
