Correct you have to curate it to what you like to see.

On the search page it will give you suggestions based on your prior activity but you can click on it and select “not interested” and then it will hide that and similar content. So eventually the content is just only what you actually want to see.

And if you follow friends who post annoying content you can mute them so it doesn’t show in your feed.

So if you put in a little effort your entire IG search and discover and feed etc will be only what you actually want to see.

Idk how people get addicted to IG. Even considering all the 11/10 sloots on there.

Try filling that time with something thought provoking instead. There's nothing really of value on IG that you can't find elsewhere, without the mindless scrolling.

I've never had IG, snapchat, or any of those other social media platforms. Never saw the point. Had a ******** account I got rid of awhile back, and I disliked that as well. I never really got anything positive out of it. Always seemed to me like 99% of what people use it for is to waste time portraying their lives to be perfect and/or whine, i.e. attention/validation seeking nonsense. None of that interests me whatsoever.

The practical uses for social media are pretty limited to me. Staying in touch with distant family/friends - sure I guess, but if social media is the only way they'd ever stay in touch with me, then I can't say I'd have much interest in "keeping in touch" with them anyway. Also, when it comes to dating, the vast majority of women seem so obsessed with it that it might actually bother them if a guy doesn't have at least some form of social media - but that point, if that were some sort of prerequisite for dating/being with a woman, I can safetly sayfely say I wouldn't want anything to do with them anyway. Guaranteed their a vapid individual not worth my time if me having social media is some sort of requirement for them.
