Thank you for what? Thank you for that. Haven't had any kids yet. But want them. Being an uncle helps with that. Was a step dad though, miss that little fuker now that I'm no longer with his mom. I remember when someone told him to go talk to his dad to help him with something (they were talking about me). He said Richard isn't my dad, my heart sunk, then he said he's my step dad and started talking about how much he liked me, one of the happiest moments of my life.

ya I know step parent life. I always worry that after 30 it’s too late for kids. I do want a kid. So that’s why I said thank you, that gives me hope. When your step kids look at you, and are like we missed you, or wow that’s really neat you taught me x or z or they talk to you about something that’s really bugging them and your able to help its huge and makes the hard times all the worth it. I have nieces and nephews but they are the same age as me, so it’s kinda different.

Oh, got you. You'll probably be okay. Just don't rush into anything. My ex fiance was 26 and miscarried, it can happen at any age.
Love that feeling with step children, mine would come to me about anything and just hang out with me because he liked being around me. If his mom told him something and he didn't listen, I'd step in and he'd fall in line. After we broke up he started getting into trouble at school, hope he's doing okay.

Wife and I have an agreement that she gets to die first. Guess we'll see. I'm a couple years older we both have decent genes for longevity and take good care of our health.

For snails: You have time. Our first child was born when my wife was 24, for our last she was 36. Recovery was easier younger, but things were fine older. Risk of complication goes up, but is still not particularly high. If you know you want biological kids I would not delay, however. Maybe its just a personal preference, but I want to have as much time on this earth with my kids and grandkids that I can get.

I think she favors women looking for husbands by 25, but not necessarily men looking for wives that young. eatliftskate is quite a bit younger than 25, too, I think.

Anyway I think I remember your post (within the last few months right? I've lurked for years.) and I agree with your general premise. Whether you're a man or woman there's no guarantee of finding a high quality person to marry and I think it gets harder as you age.
