It's one reason I tell moderates/conservatives not to get all blackpilled about the world, because their political adversaries are literally sick and suffering from psychosis. They are fragile and unhealthy people and many will crash and burn. One thing you'll never win is a debate with someone who isn't in their right mind. Might be time to change up how we approach these people.

I think it's both really. The leftist ideology is a very hateful and spiteful ideology that is centered around constantly trying to divide everyone into groups and treating them differently on that basis. I think it's attractive to people who already have mental issues and the more they delve into leftist ideology and the more they get into leftist media, the more they delve into their mental issues. It's also a situation where all of this negative energy that they get surrounded with basically empowers the worst aspects of their mental condition.
