Your average tenured STEM prof has somewhere between like a 20-50. The highest scoring engineering prof at my alma mater has like a 90. World-leading experts in their field are usually in the low 100s. 226 is a different plane of reality.

The man definitely has major personal flaws as far as being an attention whore, and you can definitely criticize him for taking confused guesses at Rona early and passing them off as gospel. But he's not medically ignorant.

almost every provider I spoke with over the course of this past year did not agree with lockdowns.

They did agree with masks and if the individual wanted to any additional precautions themselves, but the wide spread shut everything down was not a consensus across the medical community.

You think if Fauci was to lose his almost 500K income that he would've advocated for shutting down the economy? nope. but he was more than happy to have millions of people be laid off as long as it wasn't himself.
