Started calisthenics at around 14, weightlifting at 17 and was on and off over the years depending on the other sports I was participating in.

Think I was 12, but that was only curls and shoulder work. 16 first commercial gym. Started to really gain muscle and some strength around age 23 after finally getting past strange health issues that came out of nowhere and lasted for years, by age 25 got a lot of compliments from those that do and don't life, mostly those that don't lift

GOAT hobby, lifestyle. Being an athlete, constantly in the gym is an admirable path

15. I still remember my first exercise — 10 lb curls. I still remember the gym, closed since. I still remember calling GNC asking if Cell Tech was safe to take. lol Great times. So many stories. bb.com store pumping PH’s like candy. Most people don’t know that I used to be a mod here.

At age 13, I started using a pair of Tetsu Geta (Iron Japanese footwear) for my Karate kick training. They weighed 11 lbs (5 kg) each, total 22lbs (10 kg) . I woke up at 4:00 am and practiced Karate every morning till 6:00 am then started my paperboy job.

At age 16-18 during my high school years, I bought a pair of dumbbells, weighs 6.6 lbs (3 kg) each. Mostly using them for arm curls and OHP. I used to do total of 1,000 push up and also non stop sit up every evening after two hours of Kendo practice at school (the traditional Japanese swordsmanship with bamboo swords) and before another two hours of training at the local dojo of Shorinji Kempo.

At age 24, I bought a bench, Pull-ups/squat stand and barbell sets and set up my own home gym. Since then I've never set foot in a commercial gym again.

At age 61, I'm still using the same equipment (though added a lot of plates) after 37 years.

Hey brothers and sisters, keep pumping and I wish you good luck!!
