Sad that internet chat has become so high stakes. Too many stories of people who made posts a decade ago or more that have been used against them in their professional lives now when the level of what is acceptable has gone hard left.

I'm sure I've posted plenty of ignorant and plain wrong stuff in my life online. Most people change, learn stuff, gain experience, etc. but in clown world it seems that what you were before is what you will forever be.

You can post somewhere that requires you to use a real identity or you can post somewhere that will let you be honest and share things openly.

The former is now the real life version of "your permanent record". Need to start educating children of this early and/or put some kid of erasure/closure system in place.
