I actually think most younger gen are not wanting to work because of high cost of living (rent) and general inflation. They get paid the same amount of money off benefits compared to whatever part time customer service job they can find. Most just live at home now.

Srs, younger people don't want to go to college anymore. It's just too expensive nowadays.

I'm 25 and all the young people I know have been working for years. Not all of them went to college either. They work in coal mines, retail, service, engineering, music, military, IT, sales, management, science, and all kinds of chit.

I agree, universities have gotten greedy with price gouging, and the economy is in the toilet. That's why we're working, it's not about wanting to work it's about needing to work. We have bills to pay and some of us have families to feed.

You can live at home and work, or at least work on something of value. To just do drink/drugs and post memes about how foolish it is to have real struggles is a pretty sad state of affairs. Every generation says the next generation has weaker men, but they aren't necessarily wrong. We build easier and more comfortable lives for the next generation, and when things are too easy then it breeds men that allow things to fall apart.

Nothing wrong with collecting welfare if you really need it, but to act like it's some clever trick to avoid work is just shameful. Especially if you are capable of doing something, anything, beyond jacking off, playing vidya, watching anime, and getting intoxicated.

Oh yea I get what you're saying. Like I'm almost 31, want to work, got recalled back but so far my deviated septum is too much to work with a mask on. Add that with my psychosis, I'd rather apply for disability (that I paid into) after my EI runs out.

I've always had breathing problems since my early twenties, thought it was allergies/rhinitis but turns out a couple surgeries will hopefully fix it. Just on the wait list though, canadian health care of peace.

Like I literally called in sick a couple times at work last April and was told to get tested. My symptoms were similar to official health notices so I just collected cerb money lol

There is no horse, this is something your father failed to teach you. Not everyone "plays the system", there are honest men with pride and integrity.

You blame your failure on the Jews like every basic internet loser. Workers are not slaves, a slave is a slave. Business owners aren't all Jews, the vast majority of them are not. Most of them are Christian like most people in the West. You're not sticking it to the man by being lazy.

If you really need the welfare then that is perfectly understandable. If you take pride in avoiding an honest living, like it makes you better than people who work or seek work, then you are living a delusion. Demented internet culture is poisoning your brain.

That seems like the actual purpose of welfare, to help support people who actually cannot work due to illness or are between jobs. It's very different from someone who thinks they are "playing the system" by being lazy.

You’re a loser. No way around it. McDonald’s workers are earning a living. You’re sitting on your lazy ass, jerking off to cartoons all day.

Tbh 3/4 weeks of vacation is not enough. I would love a job where I can have about 4-6 months off and still make 100k.

This is the last thing I will write in this thread:

I agree with OP, this is not 4chan. The misc is not a monolith just because it isn't run by some corporate liberal hivemind. People will give you their honest and sometimes harsh viewpoints, and by posting you open yourself up to that.

Exactly what i do now srs.

Do some research into the Oil & Gas industry. I currently work 3 months on 3 off...it's the GOAT work schedule for me. Could never go back to a 9-5 life with only 4 weeks vacation time a year.

Family member passed away and left me.... Enough.

Parents are also wealthy and I was raised to value family and good deeds over getting a career, my grandfather worked down the pit until he dropped dead, dad never saw him.

He always said humans aren't destined to work 40 hours a week.

The cheetos thing is a meme that doesn't really apply I've spent months doing charity work, I spend a lot of time looking after animals, fostering, taking care of rescues etc.

I do work now and I moan about it but it's temporary I'm just topping up my chequing account.

The money I inherited is invested. When I have kids I want them to be able to do what makes them happy that probs won't be spending 40 hours a week plus commute in an office chasing "sales" lol.

Wow, living off of the hard work your dead family made, all with a smile on your face. Congrats.

NEET here. tons of free time during the day.

been trespassed from several walmart and targets for going to their loading docks and mocking the workers over megaphone calling them wagies and bragging how I dont have to work, imagine lifting heavy boxes for minimum wage, that box looks like a two man lift chief. I think I see an OSHA violation there, type of comments.

Used to rag on tradies at construction sites for things like not wearing their PPE but had crowbars thrown at me, they get hyped on on Monsters and have a lot of rage. The retail wagies are a lot more passive and a gold mine.

One of my favorite past times.

Measlies to this brah, some wisdom ITT.

For brahs who worked/saved/are taking a breather, that’s one thing. Being an aimless fukking slug who is proud of doing nothing is a different story.

Wanting to check out of society early isn’t much better IMO, plenty of people right now are throwing money into crypto/meme stonks with the hopes of making a few million and checking out early in life

Calling boomers the selfish generation while wanting to get rich for doing nothing and then contributing Jack chit to society afterwards, sounds about right

Civilization is predicated on most people being workcels in order to enable a select few to pursue leisure, art, war, religion and other higher causes. Some people are just born workcels and can't ever see past that.

so what? am i supposed to be depressed about how i live? like the other person said i didnt ask to be born into this world and furthermore not into a ghetto world. I've actually made a pretty good living doing what i want, when i want and not having to worry too much about schedules or routines or submitting myself to a boss. Live life day to day enjoying it.

There's nothing wrong with retiring or taking a break IF you're living off your own money that you earned. If you're just leeching off the gubmint or your parents, that's pretty lame.

It's time to end all these extra unemployment benefits. If you pay people decent money to not work, of course they would take advantage of such a stupid system
