"Latinx" is a word, when spoken out-loud, that makes my body physically contort with extreme cringe.

Oh yeah, capitalizing "black" is beyond stupid. For normal people with healthy minds, if they're reading a sentence and see "Black" typed out, they'll assume its a reference to someone's last name or setting's name. Like Joe Black or the Black Forest in Germany. The fact that actual newspapers are even capitalizing black (in regards to race) is a sign of clown world.
