I’ve been thinking about home schooling more and more. I think as long as a family lives near a city/suburbs it can be done well while still allowing for socializing - sports, youth groups at church, and other extra-curricular activities that allow for socializing.

I stopped by a Target this morning and they have a Pride section now.

It can be done - you do need to be sure that you’re using a good program, disciplined about making sure extracurriculars and social time get scheduled in, and are vigilant about getting kids help if they’re struggling.

My wife was a teacher. She’s a conservative religious woman, cooks, cleans, bakes, teaches our kids, takes them places, reads to them, cans her own broth and makes everything from scratch. Also a good looking woman, has bore me 3 kids with 1 on the way and looks as fit and pretty as she did when we got married in 2010. I’m incredibly lucky. Generally speaking women like her don’t exist. My friends all married bossy liberal bishes who don’t know how to do anything.

She has moms who support her too. I try to push her to get social and try to give her days off when I’m not working where I take the kids out.

We make it work. It’s hard, but together we refuse to let our kids become infected with the “go along to get along” leftist crap. We don’t want to shelter them either. It’s a balancing act.
