When UK does a shutdown, its national, its the across the board. The US, each state makes their own rules, fed only makes rules for federal land in those states.

EU gets even worse. Look at germany and what happened with Astrazeneca. Germany and the EU countries never even directly reviewed or approved the vaccines because they gave up their own FDA equivalent agencies to one super agency under the EU. So then germans start getting blood clots and now Germany decides to ban that vaccine after 1 million germans already got it.

Consider the EU is the model for the future of the world government and they are wanting to push the US more and more to operate like the UK and the EU.
