Visited there back in 2018, walked the boardwalk, went to muscle beach.

Even worked out at Golds in Venice for the nostalgia.

We only ever used to walk there with our friends 140lb doge de Bordeaux so the ghetto trash would leave us alone because he barked at any chitbag who came close

Even at its peak it was a disgusting gutter full of scum selling drugs and mix CDs

thats what I thought, didnt know if I only visited at strange times, but was confused by this post. I just went there for a week recently and it was exactly as I expected it to be/remembered it to be everytime I have gone there.

Round these scumbags up and drop them off on skid row. If you want to be homeless, go be homeless on skid row. Stop letting them ruin decent areas.

Yes this is a pretty recent development. The roots may have been there for awhile but it was not tent city 5 years ago. Outside of the touristy areas would always be littered with homeless but spots like Venice Beach was nice. Hit the skatepark and the gym there a few years back.

This. Skidrow on the beach. It wasn't always right on the beach tho, residents had been complaining about the homeless and their associated issues (drug needles, alcohol, break-ins) for years when they just lived in their campers in the surrounding area. Word must have got out that the police won't do chit and they all just started invading a few years ago.
Virtue is its own reward.

Fukn makes me sick with a passion, I was born in california near Venice, mom use to take me n sister their and build sand castles n be at beach all day, I lived close by Venice 3 years ago for 9 months for a bodybuilding job and all I can see is

Fukn disgusting and ruined by liberals 100%

I came out of the golds one day on a sunny beautiful day, gym was packed as usual,


Upon exiting and planning to go to beach their was a “black lives matter” protest going on right outside the gym, angry blacks throwing trash Everywhere, flipping off the news cameras and the helicopter,

I took off my shirt being the only white guy brave enough to go out their, I could feel the hate on the liberals staring me down but didn’t try anything with me, since then I hadn’t been back.

I went their for Christmas to La for personal reasons to road trip and I scoped out the area,

It looked empty, homeless was worst than ever, piles of literal trash on sidewalks n streets, had to roll windows up, everyone had face masks on yet walking over piles of human filth.


I will not be back here any time soon or maybe ever.
