You're not the only person ordering pizza. If robots are delivering to everyone all the time, then that means all those delivery people are out of jobs.

A large percentage of jobs (including professional jobs) that exist today are facing the 'threat' of automation. Everyone in the economy can't "get a new job". If everyone became a robotics engineer, that profession would become saturated pretty quickly, for example. This is definitely going to be a significant problem for technologically advanced societies in the future. That's why many people think that UBI is inevitable.

You, in your mansion, will care when there's a revolution one day. I get that some people will be able to escape some of the effects of massive automation, but it looks very precarious and unsustainable. Technological developments have increased wealth inequality massively, and it's only a matter of time until that leads to social discord (though one might say this has already begun). Societies that are massively unequal don't tend to last very long.

Why would they pay whatever the cost is of one of those rather than pay some dude minimum wage to use his own car and make tips. I used to deliver pizza in college, was pretty sweet. Got like 7 bucks an hour or whatever, and then probably made like another 10-25 hour off tips depending on how busy we were.

Until the toxic crap you are eating eventually leads to chronic health conditions that prevent you from moving the way you once did and then you become obese. You may want to rethink that eating whatever you want isn't going to lead to long term issues (including obesity).
