CountryChad hunts for natural food with all the prime macros and nutrients. Meanwhile Citycels will be forced to eat fake meat? When. will. they. learn?

A thousand lbs is one cow per day. I guess if they can scale up a lot then it'll be practical. But I don't see how an entire factory could use less greenhouse gases per year, producing 365 cattle worth of beef than just raising 365 cattle on a field eating grass. Haven't looked into it much so I could be wrong.

this is actually about power and control

they will convince retards that they need to do this to save the planet from climate change from cow farts and that its more humane. then they will throw around the word "science" and libtards will eat it up. They will ban actual farms and you will be forced to buy your food from mega corporations who like the mega corporations that are buying up houses, can set their price. Now that your food and houising are controlled by the elite, you will be a permanent serf.

Pretty much this. I'm not against fake meat in theory, but in practice they would try to push all this other chit with it like banning real meat, banning hunting, making you totally dependent on their fake chit, etc. Let's be real tea, the elites don't give a fuk about the environment, they just want to maintain control over everybody else

As a vegan I see nothing wrong with that, having said that I think that's massive cope overall.. Look at that uber expensive lab equipment and multi million or even billion investment just to make an uber complicated fake meat.

Food shortages and a lot of the ecological problems were facing would be over if kunts simply changed their diets and ate less meat, but no, selfish kunts gotta have their daily stake. Even cutting meat consumption in half would have massive environmental benefits. Switching to a plant based diet is the only way to go about food shortages and environmental preservation, you would be surprised at the billions of tons of grain and crops that are wastefully used to feed livestock, same with water and land use. Our current meat production model is a disaster and this is without even mentioning ethics which is another topic but looking at it purely logically its a huge mess

Pisses me off so much, the boomers that had the best run ever that ate all the meat in the world and did all the damage are now gonna try force us to eat meat and tank our test even more.

It was like that wank arnie advocating going vegan after building his entire career on eating meat.

For anyone thinking no way will enough people comply for this to take off, well look at the last year and a half.

The agro industry already relies 100% on artificial fertilizers so it wouldn't make a difference. If anything lab grown meat would decrease demand for chitty mono crops like transgenic soy and sorghum.and you don't need manure for growing crops in a perma culture model.

Or you can stop being a consoomer and learn to grow your own food like a real man. No matter how much any government tries they cant ever stop You from learning how to grow your own crops. 90% of the food I eat is grown by myself, organic fresh and nutritious.

This, at the time this is just cope. Imagine the acres and acres of real food they could have grown with that money. Crops that would go on to feed a lot more people than their meager production. Look up what Cuba did after the soviet union collapsed, the relied pretty much on the soviet union for their food supplies since they turned all their farms into monocrops of sugar cane for the soviet unions sugar supply. When the oil that came from the soviets stopped coming along with their food they turned their meager resources into growing crops without the use of chemical fertilizers or oil for tractors. Nowadays Cuba is 100% self sustainable when it comes food supply and theyre the best at perma culture and organic farming

We don't have the capacity for everyone to get their calories from veggies, not saying it isn't possible but any significant transition would have to happen over decades.

Less farmed meat consumption would greatly benefit the environment. This is a good thing.

Even if we dropped meat consumption by a third we would see great ecological and health benefits
. It can't be done overnight but we have to start at some point. Also there have been amazing developments in hydroponics. Vertical farms can out yield traditional farming by a factor of a hundred.

Consider a cow being raised until slaughter maturity. Where is all that feed energy going towards beyond just muscle/fat tissue synthesis? blood flow, metabolism, digestion, skeletal growth etc
The feed conversion per unit of meat for beef is very inefficient, if they can do away with all those unneccessary biological processes and utilise economies of scale for these synthetic processes then it could very well be a viable, at the very least more humane alternative to meat.

I must be unaware of something. To me, this seems pretty cool.

If we can produce meat in a lab and avoid slaughtering animals that have some intelligence, cool.

Does it taste worse or something? I thought I once heard this way they can even use less antibiotics which is good. If it tastes worse.. yeah, I'll hold until they fix the taste and texture. However if it's comparable, that's a great thing.

Plus, avoiding all the methane gasses from cows is good.

I hope I don't get a bunch of tinfoil hat responses back, why are some of you in here against it? Intelligent answers only please.

This. Most of the elite "environmentalists" all fly in private jets and live in mansions. They don't want to give up their lifestyles, they just don't want you to have even the pleb versions of what they have.

lol'd hard when Leo flew across the world in his jet to accept an environmentalist award. also lol'd when our "envoy for climate" took his jet mid pandemic to meet face to face with foreign elites while plebs were shamed into zoom calling anyone they needed to talk to.
