I’ve not slipped in the 4 years I’ve been climbing, they don’t always save your life, they just stop you from falling to the ground

You’ll still go swinging into whatever is below you, I dropped below booms to do what to yesterday and you have to muscle up yourself on a steel beam wirh 50lb of gear on you

To get up from a full fall where you drop into your lanyard requires a rescue, we’re all trained in high angle rescue for if that happens

Makes sense, I enjoy my desk job for the most part too, but sometimes wonder if I'd gain fulfillment from more physically stressful work.

Can always complement with recreational activities though.

probably after 1 day would say **** that

I worked hard my first 5 years as a cop working for a busy town that was understaffed but now have a much easier desk job in LE and never looked back, even though i get that itch to be doing something more involved I know its much better just sticking to lifting and competing as my excitement and physical activity, having to do it for work sucks imo.
