It was ok but NC Q is better by far.

Absolutely no idea but that sounds like it would be gimmicky. Try Lonesome Dove in Fort Worth for steaks and game meats, Marty B's in Bartonville (decent BBQ, all around fantastic Texas eats) but I think if I had my heart set on a good steak I'd go into Dallas for Nick and Sam's or Al Biernat's. Agree with Hard Eight BBQ recommendation.
