They let those actors act the way they want, until it gets boring. Then they throw them bullet points how to act. (Like coming up with something like the OP.)
Later they heavily cut and edit their footage to construct a narrative. Finally they reinvite everyone to do film semi-scripted reaction shots to those moments.
They have a few notes, but no real script.

Don't really care about this challenge. Its doable. The point is stupid though, as there is no real one.
