That's the hardest to deal with for me. I'll have dreams of a friend and it feels so fukin real. You even convince yourself they somehow came back to life. And then you literally wake up.

Also had this recurring dream of a friend who died in a car wreck, and in the dream I'm aware he's going to die but for some reason I can't physically say anything or tell him. It's wild.

sorry mate. speaking from experience though once you have exoerienced the death if so many close to you it becomes numb and you just cling to the fact that if yu live riggt you will be with them again one day.

best thing you can do with death is ride off away from it yesterday never comes back. live for today and tomorrow. best advice i can give you

Sorry to hear about your loss

One of my college friends, wasnt really close to him, passed away last week from an overdose. His folks are in some South east asian country and now his body is being airlifted from europe to his native place. He was alone during this pandemic the whole time since last year so i bet he indulged in various things that finally caught up to him.

He has been radio silent for a couple of months now, it wasnt uncommon for us to drift in and out of communications. Over those months I texted him a few times telling him that I love him and that I wanted to see him, they were left unanswered. Its looking like he fell back into his old habits and OD'ed in a hotel room where he wasnt found till the next day. Im going to miss my best friend, this wasnt the man I knew and loved...
RIP to your friend.

Stay strong brother. PM us if you need anything.

I saw him back in March, he was doing good. Out of rehab and clean for a couple of months, joking around at his parents house like we used to back in the day. We even talked about how much we loved/appreciated each other. I know its not my fault, and I also know that I dont have the power to change things. I just think about how he died alone in a dark place and makes me sad to think about it.

Just now coming across this thread. Oh man, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. May his memory be a blessing. It's feels like twice the tragedy when you watch them get sober and then go back out. Hope you're hanging in there, PM anytime.

Been 4 years now. Can't bring myself to delete his number from my phone. Still keep a beer in fridge for him.

RIP Rico.

Sorry to hear OP.
My sister passed this year but we still pay her phone bills so that they dont cancel the number
