If I had to rank the 50 states to live in California would be the 101st on the list
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

FL checking in and it's unbelievably dope. One MAJOR advantage to California is the geography, brb mountains, deserts, epic hiking everywhere.
Florida is the flattest state in the union (srs) and I would love some epic hiking trails. Besides that, no complaints and it's not like we don't have our own epic things to do outdoors.

You gotta fly to the mainland. Wanna go to the snow? Gotta fly to the mainland (FYI California has several really awesome ski resorts, something Florida lacks).
Oh and just lol at the strictly enforced 55mph freeways in Hawaii I'd pull my hair out living in that day in and day out. Hawaii is the epitome of a vacation state. You stay there for a week or two out of the year and thats it.

1 or 2 weeks it’s almost not worth the traveling to get there and come back.
6 months of your life though you have enough time to settle in and really do everything it has to offer, then you get to come back without being away from the mainland for very long.

Hands down, Southern California and it's not even close. Best weather year round. If you're an outdoors enthusiast, you have year round access to tons of trails, hiking, biking, parks, mountains, outdoor recreation and attractions all over, boating, watersports, surfing, ocean is nicer, beaches are nicer, nightlife, the list goes on.
Florida is so hot, humid, sweaty during the summer, then wet and rainy with a six month hurricane season, crocs and roaches. Stuck inside half the year due to bad weather. No thank you.

I’d take 250k in Florida. And I live in CA. Lived in both places. They are def. very different.

San Diego and it's not even remotely close.
Lol at living in unbearable humidity half of the year. Who was nice cool breeze on a summer night?
Lol at being worried about hurricanes for 1/3 of the year
Lol at not having mountains near you

Assume SoCal and Assume Tampa as the specific locations
Cali
Pros - In N Out, nicer year-round weather, "classier", perhaps more innovation/tech/smarter people/players
Cons - DemoRATS running the state, high personal income taxes, higher cost of living, ocean colder, beach not as nice, less freedoms
FL
Pros - nicer beaches, warmer water, lower cost of living, 0% income tax, more freedoms
Cons - def some white trash, hot + humid climate, less innovation/tech scene

Also California's massive amount of trash people of all races more than accounts for Florida's white trash whom you can avoid by staying within city limits most of the time. I wouldn't live in California if you paid me $1M a year srs.

Maybe you haven't experienced an actual earthquake yet (a 4 or 5 magnitude doesn't count, nor being 200 miles away). But when you do, you'll understand.

Think I'll take my chances over having to deal with major hurricanes every year and record breaking ones every 5 years

For the person who negged me on this thread with a comment "do your research *******", my response to you is my research comes from living in CA over two years and working in CA over five years. And a handful of times short term job assignments in FL. I couldn't breathe in the FL humidity. Whereas in CA I was able to breathe. Also, not the entire state is full of earthquakes. It depends how close/far you are from the fault lines.
