Not at any dollar amount.
Say you did something against a company and not the government. Steal trade secrets from an electronics company or medical company.
The federal government still charges you wire fraud, tax fraud (easy case) and under the Economic Espionage Act (fawked)
If you are in a federal facility or military as a spy that is just straight suicide

In the 1970s spys were getting hundreds of thousands for info
I assume now its millions. If you are a foreign national probably less (china sends you for college/work/steal secrets you probably live a good life but not amazing money)
But payout from China/Russia to a born US citizen spying would need to be huge
**Black out tape over all laptop/cell phone cameras so gov cant spy on me fapping crew**

Hell no, they are just as corrupt as other intelligence agencies and governments.

Just because I have problems with the government doesn't mean I support other corrupt governments.

But people have done worse things for less money, especially at truck stops and in alleyways.

Here's a fun fact:

Intelligence agencies are regularly involved in illegal drug trafficking and arms sales.

I've actually done some private contracting work for US intelligence but it was not secret or high profile at all.

All I did was teach people how to use software for reconnaissance and compromising computer networks.

Didn't make much money either, it was very low-level technical work.

Didn't see anything shady, but you can read all the shady chit they do around 10-25 years later due to declassification policies.

Pick two.
Or just a rando making a thread on a bodybuilding forum.

This is why people believe conspiracy theories, because it makes for an exciting story.

The simplest outcome is the most likely one, but people would rather believe a fantastic story.
