Rofl.
Not gonna watch all that, just like a minute around the time stamp.
“I was readdy to commit to gaining muscle and not being skinny”
K sounds good
“So I followed every single fitness youtube I could find”
This was the step you were supposed to go lift not sit on your ass on computer some more…

That doesnt mean you can't get ahead in the world disregarding aesthetics but its foolish to not say there is a lot of power that comes with it socially.brah i want to lose weight and get back to a normal size. i just don't give a fukk about bodybuilding or aesthetics anymore. as long as i reach a point where i'm no longer considered "fat", then i'll be happy.
when i started college, i weighed about 180 pounds and was pretty happy with my body. i stopped caring about being "aesthetic" and just focused on school and enjoyed partying/drinking/socializing. i graduted in the top 15% of my class and got a job at a top firm, so i did pretty well for myself.
i definitely did not go down the "LDAR" route. maybe i'm LDARing temporarily at the moment, but i'm going back to school in September.
i don't define myself by my physique anymore. only insecure losers gloat about their aesthetics. nobody in the real world cares about physique, as long as you aren't fat.

in the real world, people care about money, education, and status. everybody wears business clothing. nobody will even see your physique, outside of the rare social event where you are outdoors.
as long as you are not fat, nobody cares about your body. only people in the fitness/bodybuilding world care, which is a small minority.

if The Rock was some egghead working at Subway, nobody would care about his aesthetics. people mire him because he's rich and famous.

I like how you have to use the bare minimum example of subway. I bet if he worked at subway he would be getting 100x the attention other subway workers get, why? because of his looks. He wouldnt get the same attention as being the superstar but he would get a lot more attention than any other subway worker.

With people like this I often wonder if the specific thing they latch onto and messes up their mental health is not too significant, that if it wasn't x thing it would have been y other thing.

It wasn't this bad for me, but people on misc+teen misc were putting up such big numbers I was lifting HARD 6 days a week. It got to a point where I was lifting too heavy, even people in the gym questioned how I lifted more than them when they were bigger. In the end, I stopped lifting due to injuries (which have now healed) but I lived a few years where I was transformed and even in sports I was quicker, stronger, fitter. Dunno whats in you USA peeps drinking water back then, e-stating was big then too lulz.
Misc was SERIOUS back in the day and pushed us in all aspects of life. Without the right mentality it could crush you.

maybe we come from different socio-economic backgrounds. but in my world, which consists of successful white collar workers working at top corporations, nobody gives a chit about physique. we are all dressed up in business attire.
grown adults don't care about petty crap like being aesthetic like Zyzz and dancing in undies at music festivals. it's juvenile, vain, and silly.
people are impressed by money and social status once you reach adulthood. mentally it sounds like you're still stuck in that silly world of trying to get aesthetic like Zyzzbruh. look where that got him. apparently there are rumors he killed himself cause of a botched nose job, which is probably false, but i could believe it.

You're being stupid. Attention and respect are given for aesthetics. Youre just running with the "its all about money and career" because thats all you have. You have 0 aesthetics. So you WANT so badly to believe you made the right choice disregarding aesthetics and focusing on career.
So tell me how is your hot fiance doing who cooks and cleans? Tell me about the 100s of women who have thrown themselves at you because if your job and money. How well has that worked out for you attracting extremely good looking sloots and having a bunch of interesting dudes want to be your friend?
Money and career have a place but Aesthetics can get you pretty far socially.

when i was in college, i didn't know a single person who actually cared about bodybuilding, except the odd person who was really involved in athletics. people are focused on education and career, which is all that matters.

Just lol at you pitying me. I have a good career, a gorgeous fiance, own a beautfiul new home a badass truck have 3 awesome dogs and get to misc at work and I get to live life Aesthetic AF. I am glad YOU pity me. I value plenty of other things in life beyond vanity, the problem people like you have is you think we are consumed by it but its only a small aspect of who we are. I mean I go overboard with the bodybuilding personally because I actually have a passion for actual bodybuilding.
I guess you should feel pity for me for having a hobby that benefits me and I am pretty good at too.
