Or did the arab guy spin out his supporting leg? I'm still very confused lol

Holocaust denial is illegal in over 18 countries. if an organized killing of jews happened so definitely, why would people need to serve prison sentences for questioning it?

Okay in this case MMA is kinda better than kickboxing. I remember being shown a fight where a dude broke a bone in his hand, but instead of quitting like a bitch he fought on creatively leading with an elbow because he couldn't jab.
I forgot the name tho. I think it was a Latin guy. Maybe some MMA brah knows what I'm talking about.

Oh it was Uriah Faber in his fight vs Mike Brown.

MMA xinfinity

I can watch fighters that I've never heard of in fight nights every day.

Only boxing I really care about are the monster fights like Fury/Wilder. I was more invested when Floyd would fight regularly and we would have watch parties.

why do people think calling someone a casual is an insult...?

MMA is objectively more entertaining.

watching mma striking is painful sometimes, so many novices with the hands. Boxing is just far more evolved when it comes to the hands. The excitement of mma for me is the small gloves that can end the fight out of nowhere

I'm a bigger 'fan' of MMA; i've watched it consistently since the late 90's and have been to a ton of UFC events etc.

For the most part i prefer watching MMA. Boxing on average in this day an age is quite poor.

However, i'd MUCH rather watch a 'good' boxing match than a 'good' MMA match. Boxing at it's purest is an art form, it's gone through over a century of evolution to the point it's nearly perfected which just makes it really hard not to appreciate.. the most subtle things can win you a boxing match... it just feels far more 'pure' than MMA. Striking in boxing is literally decades ahead of MMA, but pure boxing is also really not fit for MMA so i don't think we'll ever quite see the same technical proficiency as in boxing.

As big of an MMA fan as I am, I can’t even name a single kickboxer to save my life. Now I feel obligated to watch it just to gain a little bit of knowledge.
If you're a big MMA fan this is quite surprising, kickboxing is tightly coupled with MMA and countless MMA athletes dabble in both kickboxing and MMA. Just a few off the top of my head:
Pedro rizzo
Adesanya
Wonderboy
Overeem
Semmy schilt (well he's actually primarily a kickboxer but he dabbled in MMA)
Mark hunt
cro cop
gokhan saki (altho he sucked in MMA)
Peter aerts (dabbled in MMA but primarily a kickboxer)
barboza
cerrone
holly holm
Alex Pereira (who will soon make his MMA debut and beat adesanya twice)

Then you have guys like Badr hari who didn't do MMA, but is just infamous for kickboxing, i'd be very surprised if you hadn't come across his name.

In the early days of MMA, most of the roster were doing both kickboxing and MMA , ESPECIALLY in Pride lol.

Stupidest line i've ever seen. MMA may appeal more to the masses (although does the data actually suggest it does apart from maybe the last few years?), but there's literally no such thing as something being 'objectively more entertaining'. Entertainment is PURELY subjective.

I'm also not a fan of throwing around 'casual' as an insult to try to reinforce ones opinion though.

boxing is one-dimensional. More and more people are going to gravitate toward MMA. Boxing is a beautiful sport but it doesn't have the entertainment value that MMA has for the mouth breathing plebs.

Mma "boxing" is what I call one dimensional many of those dudes can barely throw a jab. They also for the most part don't have the footwork, angles, and head movement that boxers have which makes a huge difference in fights. Mma is like being a jack of all trades, but being a master of none. It depends on people's taste some prefer to see someone who has perfected a certain craft, others just want to see who can mix it up the best.

There are plenty of masters in various crafts in MMA... there's world class BJJ champions, national championship wrestlers, Wonder-Boy is a 5x Karate World Champion...

that's the beauty of MMA, every fight is two fighters from different backgrounds and disciplines.

Boxers get annihilated in a REAL fight 11/10 times.
