Had school uniforms throughout secondary school (blazer, tie, trousers) and full business suits in sixth form (late high school). Pretty standard stuff in UK. Couldn't picture school in regular clothes.

I agree. There should be uniforms. It makes students less likely to focus on fashion over schoolwork, it makes poorer students less ashamed to wear inferior clothing, and it could make it harder for kids to cut class

If there are parents that can't afford to make breakfast for their kids, you know the ones with the latest i phones, then they won't buy uniforms either
Scubastevo :-What percentage of women have STDs? (serious) If I just wanted to go bareback with any girl that I could get with, what are my chances of ending up bed ridden with STDs?

i agreee only because teens nowdays dress like slobs to school. brb tons of kids in pajama pants. entire school wearing athletic clothing like they are a professional athlete. girls all in short running shorts with long tshirts that almost cover the shorts so looks like they have no pants on. boys all decked out in nike gear and slides
just pathetic. its even like this is in wealthy areas. does anyone have any pride in how they look anymore?

If employers were smart, they'd all do the same. That was the point of uniforms, to prevent having to constantly reprimand or control inappropriate clothing, but more so to keep sexual motivation out of the workplace. Women have gotten really bad in recent years and it begs the question "are they REALLY trying to be harassed now?"
