Yes, US units did discover and liberate some camps, but Easy company of the 506PIR never did. BoB is their story. Spielberg changed the facts for dramatic purposes.

Watched it for the first time month ago too. Great show but putting it in top 3 is very generous. It's better than vast majority of TV shows, but it's not quite best of the best. I will give extra points for being based on a real events though.

Breaking bad also is really good, definitely top 10, probably even top 5 but not sure about top 3.
