land in hawaii is expensive as fuk, she got some land with no plumbing or electricity and i wonder if she even has an easement or has to trespass to get there. all of that wild/jungle land is usually owned by somebody, usually different state entities. its odd there is a small section for sale like that.


this is basically some place she could go camping but not live there full time and hope that in the future maybe the land price goes up if someone wants to build there or buy it for eminent domain.
I was surprised the land was only $8K. She says that it is unpermitted; too small to qualify as a house and says it is very common there.

Said she did reno work previously and then built her own tiny house from scratch in the states which she lived in for a few years. Took 2 months to build the Hawaiian hut working with her mom. One of the most useful bits was a demonstration of how they managed to get the large heavy beams in place using straps and ratchets.

I thought that was cool. Very creative to use cheap plastic buckets for window frames.

And agree with another poster that the sink on top of the toilet was pretty weird. I understand it saves water...still not a fan. Maybe if the sink didn't have to be started by pushing down on the flusher.
