Jennifer Lawrence. She isn't that pretty and can't that well.
Ryan Reynolds isn't funny and cannot act. He's been doing the same Van Wilder schtick everywhere.
Those were the two that I came in the thread to say and I'm glad they were covered.


However, mistakes have been made.
Others mentioned like Zendaya and Scarlett Jo - they actually are hot and that can cover up for any blemishes with acting. And their acting is just fine, not spectacular.

Keanu Reeves obviously can't act, but he fits certain roles really well and he becomes a part of our cultural language whether it was Bill & Ted, Matrix or John Wick. I might be missing a few.

Scarlet Jo will be interesting to watch as she's at the very end of her sex appeal value now so idk how much longer she'll be relevant.

Reeves is a dreadful actor but he picks his work very well and most of his best roles he's not needed to act in, he's like Arnold in that respect.

Reynolds juvinile humor is appealing to NPC's, his ability to speak fast makes them think he's a comedy genius.

I liked Reynolds in Selfless, Just Friends & one of the Wolverine movies..DeadPool 1 wasn’t too bad, but yes, it’s the same act over & over again. Just like Michael Cera..amusing at first..but it’s the same act in every movie

ScarJo is fukin awesome in Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit I would actually classify her as one of the best female actresses srs (outside Avengers where she's meh).

Pretty much all the relevant A list female actresses these days are past their prime or just butt ugly catering to the average female. Julia Roberts was gorgeous. She's obviously older now and they still cast her as a beauty, perhaps for the boomers. But she's the closest we've had to a Audrey Hepburn in a while, where the beauty is just stunning and they create movies and write scripts just to surround her beauty.

I wouldn't say he's an amazing actor but he's not terrible and he has a ton of screen presence / charisma. I get why the Misc dislikes him but I don't think it's relevant to his movie roles.

In that scene, they play down her looks to make her down to earth and approachable.

Some odd choices in this thread, but then again I suppose it’s a highly personal thing. My choices:

Gerard Butler - I find him incredibly bland, and I do mean incredibly. He really lacks screen presence, imo. I’d settle on casting Butler if no other actor was available or interested, and it’s my guess that’s how he lands the majority of his roles. I can’t imagine anyone thinking “Butler would be the perfect choice for this!”, unless the role was that of an incredibly bland, generic guy.

Idris Elba - Firstly, I liked him as Stringer Bell, and I liked his brief performance in American Gangster, but outside of that the dude generally can’t act for ****. He strikes me as someone who lacks depth.
