All the while the money you earned with your labor is making the elites rich as they loan it (created debt) out and collect interest however they see fit

One of my biggest regret is not starting school earlier. Although I have to add that I don't know if I would have the same drive to learn back then as I do now because of more experience.
But you've got to be one dumb motherfkr if you think college is a waste of time. Although I have to say that if you went to a state or private college, you might have spent too much depending on your degree. Community college is the way to go when you start out to get a feel for academic life.
Academia is the apex of society.

My regret is that I wasted my college time, at least academically. It would have been ridiculously easy to get high enough grades to open some doors later in life, but instead I was lazy and messed around too much and closed them all. Later on I went back to do a diploma and easily got high grades.
But the problem was that I had zero guidance and didn't know what I wanted to do. I think everyone should figure that out BEFORE they start, even if it means working for a few years first and finding a path. My first degree was a total waste of time because I didn't know what I wanted to do, or at least had a goal before I started.

This in turn leads to a trap where students major in something that won't have anything to do with what they do. That's why I'm in CC right now getting an Associates of Arts degree. It gives you a taste of all the classes. So far every class I've taken I've really liked.
Psychology 101 was a major game changer. I't's a damn shame its not taught in HS.

thing with highschools is all they do is sell the kids on going to college and the only advice they get is from useless guidance counselors that never had a real fuking job.
They dont have like actual accountants, engineers ect come into the schools and tell the kids how the world really works.

you're gonna prob go into massive debt. and when you come out you're gonna be entry-level, and in 10 years you [may] get the role you want but more than likely you won't, and you might start making good money at that point too
not exactly a selling point

Waste of fuking time/money for the most part.
Realistically, degrees are check marks more than anything. Stop feeding the machine. Prove your worth without it.

The fact that the government subsidizes student loans makes is to tuition can increase to infinity with no commensurate increase in life/financial return.
At some point no amount of major hustling/luck will dig you out of the ever increasing average student loan debt…that could finally be the turning point.

I'm the complete opposite. I wish I would have either went to college or joined the military or both. Instead, I joined the labor force at 21 (I couldn't find a job from 18-21), and now at 31 I'm barely making more than minimum wage. The first job I got seemed promising, it was as a temp in a warehouse making $13.25 an hour, and if I got hired on as a permanent employee I would have been making $30 an hour. But they never hired me permanent and strung me along as a temp for several years. Then I drove for Lyft for a while, then I got a job as a security guard which is what I do to this day.

I got an engineering degree so that's not the worst thing ever... but I kinda wish I just went to some kind of technical school and then got into the workforce asap. 4 year bachelor's degrees are such a waste of time and money, especially since the first 2 years are basically just learning the same chit you learned in high school all over again

THE classes I have to take for my associates are SICKENING brb gotta take a PHYSICS class? one ASAIN arts class? a sociology class? for an APPLIED science associates like it doesn't make sense it's JUST to extort you MONEY because they RUN a racket.
