Ask the Chinese economic reform

As for pic, its retard reddit and centrist material to blame capitalism for price increases explainable by failed government policies they don’t understand yet continue to support

Capitalism is the greatest system possible in a free society. Ideally we would have voluntary Communism hive mind and live without government in a perfect utopia, but men are not angels nor ants.

bingo

The problem is bad government that's supposed to be benevolently 'representative' but is not, and is instead highly corrupted* .

... and BTW the Great Reset is only going to make it far worse if it succeeds, because it's a massive collusion of some of the most powerful and wealthy businesses and individuals in the world to take more total control over the people and against the people. By any and all means possible we cannot let that happen. We instead need a 'reset' in the opposite direction - a reset that eliminates corruption of government by business and other harmful special interests.

* ps - and I could make a technical post of many ways that corruption of government exists and how to correct it but it would be a book far too long for most people here to read and mostly a waste of time and effort.

I agree to a large extent, but wonder why it seems you give big business a pass when you say it’s a result of “big business and big government collusion”. In capitalism businesses must basically always collude to maximize profits, and the most cut-throat of the bunch will rise the fastest. Sure there is a balance, but it’s quite possible to cause massive harm and still profit enormously. I’m capitalism you can pay for scientists to do “studies” for your products and determine whether they’re safe or not…so if they say oxycontin isn’t addictive then who are you to tell them they can’t do that? If a company want to pour chemicals down their drains why do you get to tell them they can’t? If people don’t like it they can stop supporting them with money and that’ll take care of it. That’s pure capitalism. If two companies want to get together and say “you can’t shop here unless you’re vaccinated” then they have that right, and if all businesses come together to decide that’s what best for their business then they can. To assume that corporations have the best interest of their customers and the population as a whole guiding their decision making is horribly naive.

Fixed for more accuracy.

Capitalism is a system free from government and its influence. Now, do you think we live in a Capitalist economy now? Keep in mind, countries do not know when they have transitioned to socialism. It's not until they are well in to socialism that it becomes apparent.

Funny thing is people think that socialism is going to fix a lot of these issues. I mean, you look at states that are more socialist and compare to states with less socialism. Cost in blue states is usually higher, and although wages usually ae as well, it doesn't make up for the added costs.

Socialism is good for the run of the mill, mediocre, just goes though the motions types. It however hinders the go getters, above avereage types.

Under a non-capitalist system, you'll work harder and get less return, it will be harder to succeed and easier to fail, getting ahead will be much harder. Building wealth will be almost impossible. Either that or just accept poverty and have no options and be dependent on the state. fuk that.

It is destructive, but just lmao at thinking socialism is the answer. That debate was settled last century. Our current system is getting worse, but that’s because it is becoming a bastardized combination of socialism and capitalism that gives us more bad than good of each side. Pure capitalism and pure socialism are both sh!tty. The only reason capitalism seems so much better is because the foundation of our country prioritized individual rights and recognition of a force more powerful than itself which demanded the protection of those rights. As we drift further away from that view profits are prioritized more than freedom and we see the results. Socialism is horrible because it’s very foundation is missing those key aspects and therefore it crumbles more more quickly(and often more horrifically). As I said on page one, the problem lies not in the systems, but in Man.

America uses a pozzed hybrid form of capitalism/marxian socialism. socialism doesnt work well in diverse multicultural **** hole like america.
i think we'd be peak performance under a capitalist gov, where the gov is somewhat large but conservative, promoting tradiational marriage and familys. kind of like america before jews took over

Cut-throat, maybe, but always? Source? In general the business that offers the best service or good at the lowest price is what rises the fast, not the greediest, most competitive.

In capitalism no one cares if a scientist recommends your product because science isn't a religion and other individuals can read the papers and decide for themselves if they want the product. Same concept with false advertising. Its the individual's responsibility to research the products/services they buy. Should the government shut down restaurants with bad ratings and bad food or should we allow people to look it up on the internet and ask locals? Many of the government's regulations are insultingly protective of the general populace and de-prioritize using your fukcing brain.

Environmental regulation is a tough spot for Capitalism. There is a great debate between Tragedy of the Commons and Triumph of the Commons, not also to mention another entirely parallel discussion on whether technology can evolve fast enough to correct environmental impact. The EPA and other federal agencies absolutely do more harm than good, however.

Regarding vaccines, my initial opinion is that checking medical status in general is a violation of privacy; this is a Constitutional matter, not an economics matter. For example I don't believe airports have the right to strip you naked and check your butthole for explosives, nor scan your body with an xray machine and see your genitals.

"If all businesses come together"
They won't, that's the beauty of it

Corporations don't have the best interest of the population, they have the best interest of their shareholders and customers.

Capitalism works if:

- You know how money works (income, debt, interest, liabilities, assets, investing)
- You're not a lazy fuk.

Everyone not benefiting from capitalism is guilty of fumbling one of the above two points, which frankly, is inexcusable living in the golden age of freely available information that we live in today.

That's how it'ssupposedto work ... when you have a capitalist system balanced by a non-corrupted, benevolent, representative government that represents the people as it should, and no major conspiracy against the people.

However a highly corrupt government can and is screwing it all up; and then add the Great Reset global scam overthrow into it and you yourself will be crying in another several years.

It is the best system when combined with minimal government. What we have now is crony capitalism and corporations buying off politicians for government contracts, so taxes go up to pay back the corporations for their campaign investments ("donations") and all the taxpayers are just allowing this broken system to run wild. It's become exponentially worse over the last 20 years.

If i understand my conspiracy youtube watching correctly. The great reset essentially hopes to turn the globe into rentcels who own nothing, and move into Central Backed Digital Currencies (CBDCs) so they can track spending, lock spending, and more easily discriminate against individuals with that information.

Again the golden-age of information makes this intel available and if you're aware in advance of the above fukery whose fault is it if you're not preparing in advance with your investments/ownership?

A constitutional republic requires a virtuous people to maintain. There is a negative feedback loop in all things here. Government influence causes people to become more and more selfish and react accordingly. The court systems continue to redefine laws in order to keep themselves relevant.

Here is an example; not a single case that made it to the Supreme Court proved any company has ever been a monopoly, but yet, the courts have ruled in favor, several times, of a groups of businesses going after a larger competitor to take it out. How is it a monopoly if there are still dozens, if not hundreds, of businesses in competition with that larger business? Why didn’t the smaller businesses come together to compete? After all, that’s what the larger company did to get where it was. instead, do used the courts for “justice”.

Rule of law is by far the most important part of a constitutional republic. You cannot keep redefining the constitution over and over again, because it degrades values and enables exploitation of the new definitions.

I have read entire books on the subject, and you can go all day and talk about how the courts have really messed up our constitutional values.

Another issue is that there are no checks and balances with bureaucrats and politicians. None of them are held responsible, and they simply do what is in their own best interest, which is to keep their jobs. Thomas Sowell said it was only one year in politics before he realized how Marxism would never work because of this fact. He literally dug up proof that showed the department of labor was ignoring so many bad outcomes from their policies.

And finally, we now have fascism as a result. The court ruled many times that government has no business controlling the oil industry, because someone invested their own time, money, and made great sacrifices to bring it to us as a product. It is a privilege to have what they found. But now the courts are ruling that, because of climate, businesses in the oil industry are now under fascist control of the politicians. It is easier to hold a business responsible for it mishaps and screw ups than any politician or bureaucrat. This is why it is important to keep it in the hands of the business owners.

[color=red] And you generally provide best service at the lowest price by showing disregard for ethics and doing whatever it takes to put you in a better position than your competition. Again we can use McDonald’s as an example, or wal-mart. Or all of these food companies that know how to process chemicals to make them as addictive as possible regardless of the health of society. Maybe I shouldn’t say always because nothing is 100%, but the system is by its very nature designed to reward those who will do whatever it takes to generate the most profit. And more times than not(often enough to steer society as a whole) that means being cut-throat. Look at Amazon. Another good example….which brings up another aspect: where the products come from. Capitalism is a being reason for China putting itself in a more advantageous position at the expense of Americans.[color]

In capitalism no one cares if a scientist recommends your product because science isn't a religion and other individuals can read the papers and decide for themselves if they want the product. And yet the OxyContin mills weren’t shut down because people did research decided to stop using them, they were shut down because the govt. cracked down on them. I agree there should be a level of “buyer beware”, but if left to their own devices it’s not like these corporations would place the we’ll-being of the public(or even their own customers) over profits.[color]

I’d say that last part is incredibly debatable. Our air and water quality has improved significantly over the past 40 years, and that has more to do with regulations than corporations. Yes there is obvious overreach in some situations, but just pointing out that companies will cut as many corners as possible if it makes them more money. Just look at the air and water in China.[color]

Regarding vaccines, my initial opinion is that checking medical status in general is a violation of privacy; this is a Constitutional matter, not an economics matter. For example I don't believe airports have the right to strip you naked and check your butthole for explosives, nor scan your body with an xray machine and see your genitals.
[color=red] You don’t believe so, but it can certainly be argued that in a capitalist system they do. They can record you, which goes against your privacy. But if you are in a public place and decide to do business there they can record you if they want. Don’t like it then just go somewhere else. They aren’t invading your privacy because you are offering it up by deciding to shop there. Want it to stay private then don’t go there, just like you do if you don’t want to be recorded. You have a right to own and carry a firearm, but if the business tells you that you can’t do it on their property then the owner overrules you in a capitalist society. You don’t get to tell them how to run their business.[color]

"If all businesses come together"
They won't, that's the beauty of it

Corporations don't have the best interest of the population, they have the best interest of their shareholders and customers.
[color=red] They come together all the time. Just like at big tech for example. They all push the same narrative and cancel the same type of speech. If any other platform comes along they just buy it or destroy it with competition. Same with media companies. I’d even argue that capitalism has been a big weakness to an extent, and a key way that the left has worked around rules to push their narrative. And they do this by all working together as far as narratives and agendas are concerned. And if you suggest breaking them up or having the govt. step in to override them that’s a very anti-capitalist approach.[color]

Yeah my family worked from nothing and now we are rich as fuk from investments. Capitalism is amazing as long as you aren’t a fuking lazy person or idiot. It’s the only system that works.

Inb4 wincel or some idiot brings up Scandinavian countries that only work due to oil and lack of corrupt governments.

Capitalism is a being reason for China putting itself in a more advantageous position at the expense of Americans.
[color=red]Chemicals? Proof? Sugar, corn oil, animal fats? All subsidized. Not their fault it's so cheap.
Chinese products? Nothing wrong with trade. Exploitative labor conditions? Its a developing country. The US had its phase in the late 19th century.
Capitalism is the reason China is overtaking the US and was the reason the US overtook Britain.[color]

And yet the OxyContin mills weren’t shut down because people did research decided to stop using them, they were shut down because the govt. cracked down on them. I agree there should be a level of “buyer beware”, but if left to their own devices it’s not like these corporations would place the we’ll-being of the public(or even their own customers) over profits.
[color=red]Is it their fault people are too stupid to research the drug's effects? They weren't shut down because government cracked down on them, they shut down because they are bankrupt from thousands of lawsuits, some by state governments, others by private entities. They didn't place the well being of their customers over profits and that's why they're out of business now.[color]

[color=red]Air and water has improved because our manufacturing industry is completely dead and 3rd world countries are taking the hit to their standard of living. This has nothing to do with regulations, well technically it does, since some of those regulations killed the businesses. Yes, pollution sucks in China because that's where all the manufacturing is LMAO.[color]

[color=red]You don't have a right to not be recorded in a public place. Expectation of privacy is very different than right to privacy in a public environment. And the cool thing is that the US is a Constitutional Republic, not a Capitalist Society, so we have and pass laws that limit the power of government as well as businesses.[color]

[color=red]Big tech isn't the free market. They receive many wondrous gifts from our big generous government and also coincidentally have many lobbyists in DC in addition to controlling information and making campaign contributions on their free time because reasons.[color]

I'm not giving big business a pass. Big business isn't capitalism. Big business is anti-capitalism.
