Moving from CT to WY today. AMA

How much cash dollars did you save up to make the move?

I'm in 5 digits. Enough to move and a DP on a house when I'm ready. Just going to rent for a year or two before I get a house (and obviously make sure I like the area I moved to.)

How bad is CT really? If I stay in the Northeast it’s one of the states I’d consider (along with NH).

I honestly don't mind the much lower population, I actually prefer it. I'm in a town where there's enough people to have a night life, concerts and such. CT isn't that bad if you're making AT LEAST 50k in most areas. There's tons of history, shops, food and things to do. Unfortunately this state isn't getting much cheaper, and at this point I'd rather just rip the band aid off now and get out.

Yeah I said goodbye to my parents today, it was tough, but they understand. Most of my family is in MA and CT. It sucks, but airplanes exist for a reason.
