No lol.

More money is created to prevent GDP from cratering, because there is no demand.

We're @ sub 2% right now.

Want to try again?

Basically there is no safe place for one to park their money. Inflation kills savings accounts. Housing crashes, so value lost. If housing crashes and we have inflation (stagflation more likely), the stock market goes down.

Gold, silver, lead, and booze may be the best options lol.

I can see the similarities to 2008 in Australia

High fuel cost
Runaway house prices
Cranes everywhere
Being able to charge $150aud/hour doing landscaping

Pretty much.

Everybody is pushing shytcoins, but that is just another Ponzi, based off of printing money.

Everything is distorted, even metals, since the Fed has to do whatever they can to protect the dollar.

That's all artificial, based on market manipulation and monetary policy.

It's criminal really.

Have you seen all the Fed resignations lately due to corruption?

Trading based off the policies they have foreknowledge of.

BRB JPow making calls to Black Rock during the early days of Rona shutdown rather than the President.

It's rigged for sure, and that's why I know banks aren't gonna get fukked. BRB making plenty of profit, BRB got trillions in cash ready to cover any cashouts, BRB too big to fail and backed by the govt even if something does go wrong. They're in a very strong position.

Hoping it crashes and burns around 2023 so I can scoop up some real estate from the ashes. That’d be about when I project I’ll be able to afford it. Late 2022 at the earliest. Gotta keep hustling cuz.

exactly. everyone thinks they're gonna get an amazing deal timing the next 'crash', when 99% of the time they would have been better off just buying earlier because the 'crash' is a tiny correction compared to the massive run up.

time in the market > timing the market
How'd you conclude the market will stop at a 15% drop, shorty?

You also realize this isn't just a housing bubble issue, right?

I'm just highlighting one.

So lets describe the mechanism in which such an agreement would benefit both of those parties.

Bank agrees to the loan losses incurred because they simultaneously have a vested interest in the performance of the lendee.

Fair observation. It eliminates the impact from the loan losses. However, if the bank turns around and asks the fed to raise interest, then the money they're owed is worth more. They just have to do it in such a way to avoid the lendee's collapse.

except

in this case the lendee's assets are also backed by mortgage backed securities

that's the collateral and the balance to the bank lending to bubble entities. The bank will have time to pull out while the MBS hold the bag. Its not that the market can't collapse...

Its that the federal gov't gave banks a reason to keep funding real estate entities and blackrock saw a way to exploit that.

THEY'RE DESIGNED TO FAIL because the gov't will do whatever they can to stop it.

Sure, if housing crashes the govt will end up taking the banks' bags for them. It's basically risk-free profit and total moral hazard on the bank's end.

But the govt's #1 reason for the firehose of liquidity at this point isn't banks' profit on mortgages, it's their own deficit. They need $3T to Build Back Better on top of the $28T they already owe, and they can't afford to pay any interest on it. They'll continue to suppress rates because they'd fuqqin default making any kind of nonzero interest payments on $31 trillion.

Exactly why rates can't rise.

The majority of the governments debt is short term. 1/3 of the budget goes to interest payments.

The Fed knows this, and that is why they refuse to raise rates. They can't.

But how else will inflation die down.

With lying to people saying it's transitory lol.

People also don't see how incredibly fuk'd supply chains are.

The current admin believes it's an easy fix, but there is noway this problem has any chance of resolving itself in the short term.

Prices are outpacing wages.

Earnings are going to slow.

GDP is cratering.

Let's see how innovative the Fed can get outside of lying.

For anyone wondering why people aren't having kids and family like they used to, insane housing prices and lack of enough rooms is one factor. When kids finally manage to buy a house, they don't have many years left to make kids (dabbs strongly off from age 35)

They're not gonna stick to it. The last 2 times they've tried raise interest rates they've bitched out of it, and we are wayyyy more leveraged now than we were in 2014 or 2018.

If the stock market drops 10% and JPow sticks to his interest rate increase, I will respect the fuk out of him for it. But more than likely he's just going to cut rates to 0 and turn the QE spigot back on. He's already made every excuse in the book to delay turning it off.

You do realize that regulation doesn't imply socialism, right?

You do realize Adam Smith didn't believe in totally unregulated markets?

You continuously expose yourself as an idiot.

Do you read about things before posting about them?

Can you define socialism for me?
