These kinds of people are so shortsighted and deluded.
Yeah, she probably feels relatively fine right now because the real damage is cumulative. Give another decade and then another and she will be in her own little hell on Earth trapped inside a beleaguered, pain filled body with severely diminished quality of life.
Maybe, because she remain a weak, lazy individual, she'll opt for surgery. But little does she know post surgery life is no picnic.
Society is doing a huge disservice to this and other delusional groups.

The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.
