We don’t typically write parking tickets very much TBH too busy answering calls for service or supervisors want to see proactive stops

No where ITT did I say the officer in the video portrayed was doing anything wrong. I simply stated based on the political climate and in the wake of all the interdepartmental policies and state laws that have been passed that choosing to use a hold/choke/restraint of any kind near the neck area is not a smart decision.

I agree with you 100%. You just took my sarcasm about ops video and ran with it kindve. I never said “cops just don’t jump out and ____”

I was speaking sarcasticly to this one situation saying I’m sure he just jumped out for no reason and snatched up the boy.

I can’t stand most police officers tbh. They think they’re above the law in my experience with a lot of them. That doesn’t mean all of course. I just call it as I see it and if more info proves me wrong I change my mind. I think we agree mostly, it just seems you focused on one sarcastic remark and wanted to prove me wrong when that’s not really what I meant.

After the libtards on reddit crack this case, Im sure they will get right on the two black teens who were gunned down in CHAZ in summer 2020. No leads or active investigation. Judge threw out the civil suit against the city, apparently the city isnt liable for any crime when they tell criminals hey we wont be policing these sets of square blocks, its an independent nation now so go there for your crimes.

Waiting any day now for libtards to care about those two black lives.

We were all that age once. 99.9% of us were respectful to police and didnt put ourselves in a position to be in a restraint of any kind.

Some clearly never were taught that.

Any type of neck restraint is illegal now across the board. C’mon you can’t be this dense

There’s effective ways to segment a suspect without encircling their neck.

It’s just a stupid decision in todays climate

Cars in the handicap spots with plaques or handicap plaques parked illegally ?

The ones in lots never get written because there is no reason to go into the lots while there is more important things to do. Unless a call was made to specifically go there for that issue.
The second is never ever write a ticket for a handicap plaque even if they are parked in a bus stop, hydrant, blocking a walking way - it’s just a lawsuit awaiting to happen.

OP even claims he knows zero about the situation.

brb better make judgements about it anyways.

turns out it was 9 months and the kid got charged because of it.

and we have zero footage of what lead up to it, literally anything could have happened. he could have attacked the cop. could have started wrestling, whatever and thats how they ended up on the ground.

if you cant see a problem with OP's post then JFL better rush to judgement anyways

You lose, you're dumb. You're obviously a hot head if you are getting this worked up about OP's post. Maybe you have had it with all the anti police chit the past few years but this is not that.

OP is a cop. His post is simply predicting this.

Not saying he disagrees with how the cop handled the child just that it is now not proper procedure post xidens dumb neck restraint ban that I also don't agree with.

That's ****ing poo, man. I go to Walmart and see 2 PD SUVs parked 30ft from a bunch of dickheads parked in the crip spots ALL the time. I've gone up to them and asked them if they could do something about it before and gotten, "I'm sorry, we have to leave for a call." I go inside, get my groceries, come out, and they're still sitting there. I've gone to my local PD and asked them about it and was told they make 10 cents per crip ticket and that they do write tickets "when we have time."

When I call dispatch to report multiple, illegal parking in those spots, I have to give the make, model, license plate, and ****ing color of all the cars parked illegally, which is ALWAYS at least 5 at the walmart I go to. If I don't give them all of the information, they don't go.

I was a huge bootlicker until I started driving, again. I pretty much hate cops now because of the crip spots stuff, and you're 100% correct.

Illegally, yeah.

I mean you'resupposedto leave your handicap ID on the dash, under the hangtag/placard. That way cops can match the numbers on the ID to the numbers on the hangtag. Because of all my experiences with handicap spots and them ALWAYS being taken, I'd laugh my ass off if the cop had a child that was disabled and suddenly had to deal with the crip spot stuff for themselves, just to find out all the **** they allow us crips to deal with. Want to say that I'm not laughing at their kid(s) being disabled or whatever, just that I want them to experience the **** we have to deal with every damn day.

Honestly the reason I don't write handicap parking tickets is the same reason I don't chase people for petty crimes or enforce any kind of minor violation whatsoever..it isn't worth the risk.

Maybe I am sitting there writing a parking ticket and the 18 year old urban youth is walking back to their car. They decide to do what they do and freak the fuk out and make a scene, screaming at me, yelling, now it's a breach of peace charge. Then they go try to get in their car to drive away and I don't let them. They push past me and now I try to ID them and they refuse and fight and now I have a use of force and God forbid she gets hurt. What will society, my department, the media and YOU probably say?

"White police officer hurts young minority over parking ticket"

No thanks. Until society changes how they view these interactions you'll have to roll your ass to Walmart from aisle 10.

No thanks. Until society changes how they view these interactions you'll have to roll your ass to Walmart from aisle 10.
I definitely get all of that, but it's part of the job.

I've never considered society's role in all of it, so thanks for the perspective, but it's still in your job description and it's ****ty that you use that outlier of a situation, which is definitely possible, as a reason to not do it.

I can tell you one thing, though. I went like a year or so with ignoring it until one day it just pissed me off, so I started confronting people about it when I see them doing it. Guess what group has actually gotten really hostile and gotten all in my face multiple times because I told them to stop being lazy pieces of ****. Oh, and they park in the spots FAR more than any other group in Louisiana, too.

I actually wouldn't mind parking in the back of the lot, but I need the those blue lines so I can get my chair in and out of the car. Don't want to go back to my car and have to wait an hour or so for whomever to come back to their car and move for me to leave. I have and do let the elderly have the spot if there's only one left. Oh, and I have absolutely no problem keying cars, either. Modern problems, modern solutions.

As soon as all of these kids get to be about 12 they need to take them on a field trip to Tje local jails and show them how you are processed and show them the jail and get them ready and you will already have them processed

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

It really isnt that much of an outlier. There is a particular demographic in this country that will use any and every chance to become confrontational with the police. And when it comes to a parking ticket..I'm not gonna win that battle even if I am 100% in the right.

"It's your job"..it is, until someone gets upset about it and I get jammed up for...doing my job.
