Dropping weightlifting because of doping? Might as well cancel all professional sports.

There will always be ways to get past testing or synthesize new compounds that are unknown. Or what about people who blast hard and then come off closer to the event when they know drugs won't be detected in their system.

It's a losing war to test against drugs. Might as well remove testing altogether and let the games be a battle of who can produce the best drugs. At least it will be entertaining seeing records get smashed and people performing at their absolute peak with the best celltech that can be made.

They should make boxing open for pros, hnnnnggg

In it’s current form where it’s non-pro and almost none of them are the best at their sport (apart from Cubans) it does make sense to remove it.

We will hopefully get to see some amazing cuban pro fighters because of this.

The best of the best are not competing in the olympics in boxing, unlike, to my knowledge, any other sport

The olympics are done. It's a shell of its former self. I remember a while back when they showed it EVERYONE stopped what they were doing and watched. Now I cant even bother to watch highlights.

its not because of the sports themselves, its because the committee for them are absolute corrupt piles of flaming garbage. they'll probably restructure everything and bring them back next time.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

its like competing in natural powerlifting meets but with half the people being on gear.

First of all natural weightlifting is boring AF, no one cares about it, its only impressive to watch when someone has the strength they would have on gear.
second its not fair and its bullchit for people on gear to compete in a natural sport.

So I really don't care about that part and never watched much of it. I like watching the form the guys use and watching the obviously on gear guys lift.
I hear ya, to be apart of the event you have to pass drug tests. I say if they pass the drug tests they should be able to compete. All sports have gear use but why they are singling out weightlifting is bs. Bet those equestrian horses are even on gear.
Why lift when it's all about the jawline ©
