We need to find a miscer(s) who has good website building skills and enlist them to build a new forum in line with the misc model. Of course, this person would hold the power, so it would need to be someonetrustworthy.

I'm perma-banned from using Reddit. Good riddance anyways since it's trash site. Probably just stick to the nissan car forum for car talk but nothing can replace the misc.

"Weightlifting" is what lifters that do Cleans, Clean and Jerks and Snatches call their sport. I've always called it "Olympic lifting" since those are the only lifting comps in/were in the Olympics, but apparently that's not an acceptable term.

Sherdog forums are good. It’s an mma website but there’s a forum for any topic. Mods are lenient in the political forum (war room). Overall leans slightly right, but nothing like the cult-like conspiracy behavior exhibited here.

Whatever happens, someone should do a full backup of all the threads here. We already lost a ton of the great ones when they changed something this year/last year. You used to be able to type a subject and then "misc" or "bodybuilding forum" and get tons of results to look at. You still get the results but the threads are invalid and deleted when you click them.

This my Man. The Misc. had so much greatness that is apparently lost. I could tell 100 stories but I'll just share one for now.

There was a legendary troll named Ken M. on the internet maybe 10 years ago. He would go to legit news stories and ask the most hilarious questions and get legit responses and each of Ken's follow up questions were more hilarious than the last. This guy was a brilliant troll. Someone links to his posts on the misc. We're rolling at his responses and someone invites him to join the forum and he does, no lift no care. He's just funny AF.

All that is gone. That annoys me more than the Clive Movie poster thread delete. The Ken M. stuff was really the pinnacle of the Misc. IMO

It shouldn't be this sh/tty outdated model. It should have notifications for when people reply to your threads and posts.
