I can’t see them making people in AZ do anything. People can die here without Ac for even 1 day in the peak summer.
When I first started doing HVAC I went to Arizona for a summer for some work and that chit was brutal

I have a commercial keggerator from the 80's that requires r12.
i can get it online but it isn't cheap.
crapped out on me at the end of summer.
compressor still runs so i assume a leak or it just needs a simple recharge because of age.

However, I may just buy a window unit, and have my buddy bring his reclaim machine over to drain it (i'm not a complete dill weed who doesn't care about the environment)
then hack it into my unit and have him put it all back in after we vacuum test it.

i know the copper tubing is a different diameter than today's units so i may have to replumb it also.
but really is not a big deal.
Would love to use re-use condensers and evaporator but if there is any R12 left in them it will kill a modern compressor.

we already discussed it and it can be done and i'd rather do that then look for another stainless steel job that will allow me to have 6 taps.

IDK, i feel TV shows that focus on video's of people doing bat-chit crazy and dangerous things wouldn't exist if it weren't for people in russia.
