If I call my local surgery I'm still getting a pre-recorded message advising that if I am displaying any Covid symptoms I must isolate for 2 weeks, as well as everyone in my household.

Like anyone's actually going to put their life on hold for 2 weeks because of a virus that isn't much worse than the common cold in many cases. I am triple jabbed now. If I get it I get it.

I see where you are coming from, but the "sky fairy" crowd have been pretty harmless [no crusaders/jihadi] for a while and many religious organizations provide real social utility [disaster relief, food pantries, homeless shelters].

The shots on balance seem to be:

- physically damaging an unlucky few

- *maybe* reducing/delaying illness for some high-risk people temporarily

- making some people obscenely rich

- fueling a mass formation-totalitarian government event that is doing damage that could take decades to resolve

I won't deny there are some true believers committing violence.

IME *most* true believers are genuinely good people who believe that their faith is the best hope for humans.

I don't think that the modern religious violence we have seen is actually driven by religious idealism, but that it is the pursuit of worldly objectives [revenge, terror, etc.] cloaked in religion to garner support and useful pawns.

Be it an organization or an individual watch what they *do*, not just what they *say*. There is a lot of variety out there within different branches of faith, splinters of the major religions, individual congregations, and even individual people within a single church or temple.

If someone is truly benevolent [more well meaning than self-serving] it will be revealed in their actions over time.

Sometimes you may come across a person who really glows from within if you pay attention.

So far I’ve seen an uptick in COVID pts, it nearly as much as when the first and 2nd wave hit. Had 2 pts today with covid(1 didn’t even know he had it, was here for something else), 2 in the ER holding for rooms. At its craziest we had 20+ COVID in ER waiting rooms and entire COVID units.

Quiet, maricon. 70-80% less per case hospitalized than Delta. Almost none need oxygen. Omicron wave fading quickly in South Africa. Looking like it already peaked in London.

Only problem is not all the infections are Omicron, unfortunately. Just a quickly increasing majority.

this is a good thing and expected. Combination of the fear mongering making sheep chit themselves and test obsessively + much more contagious variant (again..predicted, its the pattern a majority of corona viruses do and what was predicted early on as an ideal scenario where covid-19 might go....gets more contagious but becomes less deadly.)


and giving how ineffective the vaccines are seeming to be vs the virus at this point as it mutates more and more. People being exposed to this weaker variant, in the grand scheme of things. Is going to offer more naturally gained protection with benefits down the line as more mutations occur.

albeit theres still going to be some at higher risk. Some due to factors outside of their own control. Others due to factors within their control (stop being fat as fuk)
