No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

I grew up in the 70s. The 70s were the hangover from the 60s. All that free love resulted in a bunch of kids with "parents" that couldn't be bothered to raise them. You think we have high inflation now, check out what it was back then. Mortgage? The prime rate peaked out somewhere around 25%.

My dad had an old Beach Boys tape he pulled out on long car rides.

I spent a ton of time in tractors and riding with my dad in his truck growing up. When you disk a field, you spend literally days just driving the tractor back and forth. My mom used to drop me off to ride with him when I was young and she wanted me to take a nap, because I would be out cold within 10 minutes. Then I worked for my dad every summer as a teenager, and rode with him a bunch checking water and cows, etc. He always had the radio tuned to Oldies. It was mostly background noise, but there were a few songs he perked up for:

Steve Miller Band might be the poster child for boomer music

Metallica is pretty bad, guns n roses. (i know the time frame doesnt exactly match the criteria, but these are boomer favorites. Dont believe me? Go to a metallica show.)
