It hasn't helped, but I think a lot of it is just terrible training & the sort of people they hire. This guy was white.

Sad story but I don't feel too bad for cops who die in the line of duty. Play games win prizes. That said I'd also be totally fine if the other cops from that department had beaten these scum to death slowly and agonizingly when apprehending them. Basically if you're on either side as a law enforcer or a criminal you are forfeiting your safety and possibly your life.
