You won't be he oldest one there. Europeans don't stop having fun like they do in the US. I went to a beach fest in the Netherlands and met a group that had 3 generations of women partying. Was honestly just curious who they were there to see and turns out we all loved Prydz, who wasn't even at the event.

People have fun in different ways as they mature. In my 20's yeah going to events was fun for a while but it just kind of gets old and soon it's been there done that and it's time to move on.

Go dance in the woods
And down we go, down, down
Oh, boy, you’re mine
Do you remember old times?

Oh, dear boy, I wanna follow you
You’re a wild boy, I am a wild girl too
Oh, dear boy, it’s so hollow without you
In a world with everything but it won't do

Music just feels different after what happened to him. You have objectively have everything but mental health problems can make living a hellscape.

Yeah I suppose. Some just aren't as passionate about music throughout their life I guess. I appreciate the production. Meeting other fans is a big reason for me to still attend.

US events are really different and I don't bother with them at all anymore. Too many sloots and bros that aren't even fans and are just there for the gram or to be seen and do dirty pills. Not really my scene.

Agreed. Went to Ultra in Miami as an overseas trip in 2013. Was my goodbye to festivals and had a great time.

I saw him live briefly with the Dallas Misc at LAN 2012 srs.

That song makes me nostalgic of course but I'd like to go to at least one EDM event per year (went to North Coast in Chicago last year) and possibly going to Ultra Miami this year.

RIP. Must have really been battling some demons

I can see how getting that popular at age 19 and drinking/rolling 4-5 nights a week would take a huge toll

So much nostalgia ITT

Discovered zyzz, the misc and Greg plitt in 2012 when I was 18 and my motivation for the gym (and everything else) went through the roof. Had the time of my life blasting edm tracks with my friends, making gains, miscing, and picking up chicks on the weekends at bars.

Good times boyos

Do people go to these things sober?

Can't imagine jumping up and down, shoulder to shoulder with axe body spray manifested into people, mid ****ing day, watching some guy turn some knobs like he's a musician.

The best electronic music is trance from the mid '90s (look up Sunbeam, Jam & Spoon, or Jones & Stephenson) but Avicii was pretty good.

His father recently came out with the answer in an article.
Basically the guy was into drugs and alcohol and loved making the music but was a bit socially awkward/depressed or something like that.
I think he died with 50 million but wasn't "happy" so he did what he did.

I still get my dj remixes here for the gym and boring activities but they are very different.

I guess he was extremely introverted, constant travel, constant anxiety over the fame. Got into drinking and I'd imagine other things to cope. Can't imagine what that kind of fame would do to someone that doesn't really want it.
