Funny how Biden's admin is taking such proactive and aggressive steps against Russia but blundered and bumbled through the whole Afghanistan retreat.

I think we should give Russia hundreds of thousands of guns, vehicles, helicopters and aircraft, then maybe they won't invade.
Would kick em in the nuts

I assume USA wants to intervene, because there’s some internal tensions growing within the country, and this will take noise off of it.

Republicans will use this as their argument for waste of spending resources; while Dems will argue it’s necessity.

The government would not have just kicked 70% of the active duty military members out of the military for not complying

its really sad that civilians did this but the military couldnt. Says a lot for how weak/brainwashed our military has become.

Based on what you are saying is what scares me the most. Our military will be subservient to the federal government no matter what. This is how hitler invaded other countries and "exterminated" the jews living in Germany/Poland.
That's it I'm negging you when I get on the PC.

You realize only like 20% of civilians denied the vaccine right?

True. Still I must be in the minority because Russia is no pushover and yet we have people going rah rah at the thought of taking on Russia. It will be a global disaster if NATO/US engages in a shooting war with Russia.

I doubt Russia wants a war. They have enough issues going on. They’re using this as a way to unify their people and focus on other problems. They also don’t want to back down from NATO.

Every government is trying to get attention to other issues; rather than focus on their own problems. China has a 3-child policy now (up from 1), and people are livid since they can’t afford families, as they’re taking care of the old generation - but China is pushing it hard.

I don’t follow enough USA news, but outside of COVID, I bet there’s more concerns going on.

US Issues Level 4 'Do Not Travel' Advisory For Ukraine

https://ua.usembassy.gov/ukraine-lev...-not-travel-2/

Ukraine Travel Advisory

Do not travel to Ukraine due to the increased threats of Russian military action and COVID-19. Exercise increased caution in Ukraine due to crime and civil unrest. Some areas have increased risk. Read the entire Travel Advisory.

Country Summary:

On January 23, 2022, the Department of State authorized the voluntary departure of U.S. direct hire employees (USDH) and ordered the departure of eligible family members (EFM) from Embassy Kyiv due to the continued threat of Russian military action. U.S. citizens in Ukraine should consider departing now using commercial or other privately available transportation options.

There are reports Russia is planning significant military action against Ukraine. The security conditions, particularly along Ukraine’s borders, in Russia-occupied Crimea, and in Russia-controlled eastern Ukraine, are unpredictable and can deteriorate with little notice. Demonstrations, which have turned violent at times, regularly occur throughout Ukraine, including in Kyiv.

U.S. citizens in Ukraine should be aware that Russian military action anywhere in Ukraine would severely impact the U.S. Embassy’s ability to provide consular services, including assistance to U.S. citizens in departing Ukraine. For more information, please review what the U.S. government can and cannot do to assist you in a crisis overseas.

The Department asks all U.S. citizens in Ukraine to complete an online form so that we may better communicate with you. This is especially important if you plan to remain in Ukraine.

twitter search 'advisory ukraine'

twitter search ukraine 'Top' results (generally most popular recent tweets but with Twitter's algorithm thrown in)

and you can click on 'latest' for all tweets with 'ukraine' most recent first (gonna be lots)

despite Twitter management sucking, this is the best way to keep up with the latest on this or just about any breaking current events
