Writers block happened to me more times than I remember. Very common with PhDs.


When I got block I just GTFO and do something else. Walk. Gym. Beach. Surf. Hang out with friends. See a movie. I wouldn't even think a word of the thesis until the slump had passed.


Also, I found sitting back with a joint every now and then would help me chill out, and take my thinking in interesting new directions.

Does anyone remember that community conference call thing (that went viral), where there was some sloot with a PhD in some nonsense from some crap school - and she got really butthurt because the guy taking attendance or whatever wouldn't call her "Doctor"? Of course a bunch of morons were siding with her too.
