It took the entire industrial might of the rest of the developed world and tens of millions of bodies from the Eurasian steppes to bring that tiny country down.

Germany should have taken every single soldier from the western front and sent them east and allowed the western allies to advance as far as possible.

Dang that sucks a family heirloom like that was buried and just disappeared. I get the importance of burying it with someone important, but then it ends the importance of the item with them. I know the Katana I have is part of a 3 sword set, and the rest are lost with history to someone person we don't know, just leaving us with the Katana and the overall story of the family, which I'm sure my ancestors don't want as being their only memory.

Wrong.

A land invasion of Japan would have costs exponentially more lives that two atomic bombs. The dropping of the atomic bombs also showed their real world destruction, preventing future atomic conflicts, which has a real benefit.

But yes, comparable to Hitler who wanted to exterminate entire races. God kids these days are idiots.
What did Russia have that would've allowed them to beat Germany?

With that said, the outcome would likely be what we have today if Russia wins. After the war the U.S. wouldn't let all the spoils go to Communists

Agree, I don't see how Russia would have won without the aid of the USA

The Soviets were under starvation from communism and famines. Extremely poor country with no real considerable industrial capability. All they had were the numbers for cannon fodder.

The ratio of Wehrmacht versus Red Army killed in action soldiers was 2.75 million versus 8.5 million. Meaning the Germans killed around 3.5 Soviet soldiers for every 1 soldier lost.

And that's with the 180 billion in resources that the USA gave the Soviets.

In 1941 when the Germans invaded, the Soviet production of ball bearings ceased entirely and all steel production was focused on producing war machines and weapons. From that point forward, they relied on the USA for all ball bearings. While that may seem like nothing, every single piece of complex machinery is dependent on these small tiny beads in construction of function.

Even Stalin admitted the USSR would not have won without Western-Allied assistance.

How would they have any fighting sense if its the first time they entered real combat. The Germans had good logistics, but that doesnt determine how well they fought or used those logistics. They were only able to push those countries because they literally had Buck and his cousins defending the country side.

The Wehrmacht were the most experienced troops on the battlefield as far as tactics, organization and training. Incredible discipline and determination. They continued to fight with zeal to the very end.

And German engineering has always been some of the best. Germany produced some of the greatest scientific and technological minds in history.

The Japanese also had just as much zeal and determination and would fight to the very end, which is why a land invasion of Japan would have cost more lives than the nukes.

Russia would have dropped out like they did in 1918 or negotiated an agreement with Hitler to end the eastern front. Hitler needed oil. He had no other interest in taking Russia. He would have easily talked Stalin into supplying Germany with oil if America wasn't in the war since England was already forced off the continent.

Once supplied with oil, Germany would have controlled Europe with England unable to do a thing about it.

Let's say it's circa 1942/1943...

Germany
Hitler pulls out of France but occupies most of western Europe. Gives southern part and Balkans to Mussolini's New Roman Empire. With England's blessing, Germans deal with Russia military to take out Stalin. Relinquishes Baltics to New Russia. Hitler spends the next 15 years erecting statues of himself.

Russia
Stalin gets fragged by the military, who will also wipe out the Bolsheviks in the same manner the Bolsheviks wiped out the aristocracy 25 years prior during WW1. Eventually goes to war with Japan and gets its ass nuked.

Japan
Assuming they never attacked Pearl Harbor, they take their focus off of the US and prepare for inevitable war with Russia. Maintain occupation of former Brit interests, China, Korea, etc. Goes to war with Russia and nukes them back to the 1500's.

Cold war with a Nazi Europe.

Japan would be similar to the CCP, with the US starting trade with them in the 1970s, and after the fall of Facism like the fall of communism they would be like the CCP of today.

Millions of more men. A defensive front that was impossible for Germany to penetrate (Stalingrad). The Red Army outnumbered the German Army 2 to 1 when DDay happened, which was after Stalingrad btw. Russia was pumping out more weapons. Russia would have absolutely beat Germany in a 1on1. The US coming into Europe just allowed Russia to have a 4/5 to 1 advantage of Germany compared to a 2 to 1 ratio, because the US forces basically matched (narrowly exceeded) the amount of total German forces.

Germany couldn't even win the Battle of Britain against England which was entirely on the defensive, yet you think they could have gone into Russia and won? Come on.

And like I said in another post, we can't just not include the USA in WW2 and then imagine what would happen. There's so many variables and what if's - saying "The US doesn't partake in WW2" is ridiculous. Does Pearl Harbor happen in that scenario? The Lusitania? Or does that mean the US is completely blocked from anything relating to WW2, meaning, they can't also partake in the "spoils go to the communists" which would also bring into question the next 40 years of history after WW2. Based on what we know now, we CANNOT say "this is what would have happened if the US never entered WW2" because there are just too many questions to be raised with that scenario, and even if you answered all the what if's perfectly, you can't base that different version of history based on what actually happened in our version of events.

I always find it funny how USA scum love taking credit for "winning the war" they joined after they bought their way out of the great depression with the blood money from selling arms to the nazis.

A bit like taking credit for the war of independence that France and Spain won for them.

They have lost every war since btw. P4P the worst military in the world, they just have 5 men for every 1 of every other army, paid for by ill gotten stolen gains.

They have done an AMAZING propaganda job painting themselves as the good guys of the world though, when the reality is they are probably the worst guys of the world.

I will LAUGH when they fall. (and its not far off btw with Biden and his ilk in charge)

That's a really great movie and a story that I wish more people knew.

For those that don't know - this guy is a Korean who got abducted and forced to fight for the Japanese against Russia in the beginning of WW2, , then got captured by the Russians and was forced to fight for the Soviets, and then got captured by the Germans and was forced to fight for the Nazi's against the Americans on D-Day, where he was captured. Pretty fukin crazy decade for him.

Movie is "My Way", available dubbed on Amazon Prime.

US stole land? Fine, lets duke it out and winner takes the land. No, lets drop two nukes on 80k civilians instead and declare ourselves winner.

The Japanese straight up attack soldiers on soldiers at pearl harbor and did it masterfully. You just KNOW American'ts were salty after that, lmao.

You really think the US were the bad guys of the war? You don't know chit.

The Japanese killed more innocent civilians than the Nazis did, by millions. The Nazi's killed more Jews in their camps than the Americans did by dropping both atoms bombs combined, by guess what? Millions.

But yes, keep ignoring facts and keep on being an ignorant fool, repeating the same chit without replying to anything ITT worth commenting on with your own facts to back up your misguided opinion.
